On this Independence Day, we do not merely celebrate a date on the calendar. We reaffirm a solemn oath—a pledge passed from generation to generation—that the promise of 1776 will never be extinguished.
Nearly two and a half centuries ago, a small band of patriots declared that liberty, not lineage, would determine the fate of man. They proclaimed to the world that power must reside not in the hands of kings, but in the hearts of free individuals. They staked their lives on the simple yet revolutionary idea that all men are created equal and that their rights are not gifts from government, but endowments from God.
That was not merely a rejection of monarchy. It was a rejection of tyranny in all its forms: the concentration of power, the silencing of dissent, the suffocation of opportunity.
Today, though we do not face a monarch in the flesh, we are no less confronted by a modern aristocracy—an unelected class of elites who wield influence through backroom bureaucracy, digital censorship, corporate collusion, and ideological intimidation. They wear no crowns, but they govern with the same contempt for the common man. They cloak their intentions in the language of compassion, but the result is coercion. They cry “no kings,” yet answer only to billionaires, activist financiers, and faceless institutions whose names appear on no ballot.
This is not the America our forebears envisioned. But the story does not end here.
There is a new generation rising—unafraid, unapologetic, and unwavering in its pursuit of liberty. It does not seek to tear down the past, but to build a future worthy of it. It does not reject tradition, but fulfills it. This movement is called many names. Some call it MAGA. But at its core, it is the enduring American spirit—independent, enterprising, and eternally free.
It is the farmer who rises before dawn, the entrepreneur risking it all for a better tomorrow, the parent defending their child’s innocence, the worker who asks only for a fair shot and an honest wage. It is the belief that Washington, D.C., should answer to the people—not the other way around.
Let us then recommit ourselves to the founding truths of this Republic: that liberty must be guarded, that self-government is not a relic but a right, and that America’s strength lies not in its ruling class, but in the grit and grace of its people.
This Fourth of July, let us not simply wave flags in celebration. Let us raise our sights. Let us set our course toward a new horizon—one that does not dwell in despair or division, but dares to dream of a rebirth of freedom.
We do not retreat into history—we march forward with hope. We will outwork the cynics, outthink the globalists, and outlast the agents of fear. We will make America once more the brightest light on Earth—not for our own sake alone, but for the generations who will inherit this land.
Let the fireworks remind us not only of what was—but of what can be. That spark of liberty lit in 1776 still burns today. It is our task to keep it alive, to pass it on, and to ensure that America’s best days are not behind us—but directly ahead.
Happy Independence Day.
The best is yet to come.
You are a great patriot, Robert J!
