GOP Rep. Tom Mehaffie Silent After Trump Dodges Assassin's Bullet & Another Threat in Pennsylvania
A week after the assassination attempt on Trump, a deranged Pennsylvania woman claimed she wanted "another shot" at Trump. She is a resident and supporter of Rep. Tom Mehaffie
Yesterday, I joined several fellow Pennsylvanians at the York County State Fair for another day dedicated to voter registration. In the midst of this civic engagement, my friend, Pennsylvania Turning Point Action Field Director Noah Formica, faced an alarming confrontation.
An angry woman vehemently called for the elimination of President Donald J. Trump. This distressing incident, which I witnessed firsthand, has since gone viral, captured on video.
According to Jacob Engels of Gateway Pundit, who first reported this story, James Copenhaver, a national security expert and former Joint Terrorism Task Force advisor argued that people who sympathize with the assassin and continue to call for the elimination of President Donald J. Trump must be held accountable immediately.
Coppenhaver said:
“The fact that there are individuals openly advocating for the murder of a political figure is a serious threat to our democratic process and national security. This situation compels us to question the effectiveness and readiness of the United States Secret Service, the FBI, and other law enforcement agencies.
“It is imperative that these agencies are thoroughly investigating not only the perpetrators of this attempted assassination, but also any sympathizers who may be encouraging or planning similar acts of violence.”
This woman has since been identified as Susan Craft, a project manager for Penn State University at Hershey Medical Center.
As a lifelong resident of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the 106th legislative district, I must voice my profound disappointment in our so-called "Republican" State Representative, Tom Mehaffie. His silence in the face of the horrific assassination attempt on President Trump in Butler County—which injured many and claimed the life of Corey Compertore, a father, husband, lifelong public servant, and former fire chief—is utterly unacceptable.
In stark contrast, our US Congressman Scott Perry exemplified true leadership in these trying times, alongside President Trump’s historic call for national unity at the RNC last week. Yet, Mehaffie remained mute, failing to unify his constituents and express compassion for these tragic events. His inaction emboldened individuals like this woman, who experienced a deranged meltdown calling for the assassination of President Trump.
Over the years, Mehaffie has taken thousands in donations from the SEIU and forged deep ties with the hospital this woman works for, pushing for their favored legislation calling for taxpayer-funded puberty blockers for minors while calling the PA Freedom Caucus’ efforts to block the legislation a “Witch Hunt.”
This woman's sickness is emblematic of a broader epidemic of Trump Derangement Syndrome, exacerbated by the failures of career politicians and do-nothing Republicans in Harrisburg like my state Representative, so called “Republican” (In-Name-Only) Tom Mehaffie who has a proven record of supporting the Democrats’ radical agenda.
I earnestly hope that Ms. Craft and those like her receive the medical attention they desperately need and face legal consequences for their unlawful actions against President Trump and his supporters. Violence is never the solution, and no one should wish harm on others due to political differences.
Despite witnessing this abhorrent event, my faith in God remains unshaken, and my optimism for America’s future is unwavering.
We are galvanized by these events to continue our voter registration efforts in Dauphin County and across the Commonwealth, with the conviction that the full armor of God will shield us from such deranged individuals, just as President Trump was protected from the assassin’s bullet last week in Butler County.
The best is yet to come.
