EXCLUSIVE: Gov. Josh Shapiro and GOP Ally Tom Mehaffie: The Far-Left Duo Misleading Pennsylvanians into Supporting the Disastrous Biden-Harris Agenda
Governor Josh Shapiro and his favorite Republican, Rep. Tom Mehaffie, are working closely to undermine the interests of hardworking Pennsylvania residents.
Vice President Kamala Harris's decision to hold an event in Philadelphia is far from arbitrary. It's a strategic move that likely signals her intention to name Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate.
Shapiro, who pitched himself to Pennsylvanians in 2022 as a "Moderate" and a "Different Kind of Democrat," promised to "Get Sh*t Done" and work across the aisle with a pragmatic approach. However, three and a half years into his tenure, the reality couldn't be further from the promise.
Despite his campaign rhetoric, his record is full of broken promises and failures, especially to Republicans and Independents. He abandoned his stance on school choice—a universally popular bipartisan issue—and supported taxpayer-funded puberty blockers and explicit content in school literature. These policies are a stark departure from his campaign pledge to "Get Sh*t Done."
Shapiro's primary concern isn't the welfare of underprivileged children or hardworking Pennsylvania residents who struggle daily under the Biden-Harris agenda. At the end of the day, it's all about him, meaning his political career and ambitions to run for higher office.
From the outset, he's catered to the far-left donor class, securing his place within the entrenched uni-party. He's been busy collecting a cadre of loyalists in the Pennsylvania State House, who are more than willing to sacrifice their integrity and values for political gain.
Take, for instance, Representative Tom Mehaffie, a so-called Republican who has spent a decade serving the same special interests as Shapiro and other Democrat heavyweights like Obama, Biden, and Harris. Mehaffie, my own state legislator in Pennsylvania's 106th district—ironically within America First GOP Congressman Scott Perry's 10th Congressional District—has consistently prioritized his interests over those of his constituents.
Since Shapiro took office, Rep. Mehaffie has been working relentlessly to support the Governor's radical left-wing agenda and political ambitions, earning the nickname "Turncoat Tom" among the vast majority of PA Republicans.
This was evident in early 2023 when Mehaffie was the only Republican in Harrisburg who refused to return to work, effectively blocking much-needed voter identification legislation. He further betrayed his GOP colleagues and constituents by voting a Democrat for Speaker, while handing Shapiro and the Democrats a majority in the PA House.
In the time following those unfortunate events, Rep. Mehaffie was removed from his Harrisburg office by the GOP House caucus as punishment for his betrayal. Despite this, Mehaffie continued keeping busy, working tirelessly to deliver wins for Governor Shapiro and the Democrats.
Going down the list:
Mehaffie and Shapiro threw underprivileged children in failing school districts under the bus by voting against universally popular school choice reforms like the very popular PASS program and lifeline scholarships.
Mehaffie voted for taxpayer funded puberty blockers for minors which Shapiro passed in the 2024 PA budget, then proceeded to verbally attack the PA House Freedom Caucus’ noble efforts to block it, calling the effort a “Witch Hunt.”
Mehaffie fully embraced pushing the so-called "Green" agenda on Pennsylvanians. He supported RGGI, a carbon tax scheme ruled unconstitutional by the PA Supreme Court, which would decimate PA’s energy sector and raise energy costs for residents by 30 percent. As if that wasn't enough, Mehaffie also was the prime sponsor a bill that outright bans gas stoves and other affordable household appliances, further burdening hardworking families.
In a concerning move, Tom Mehaffie, also worked closely with Shapiro and the Democrats to lay the groundwork for potential massive impacts on the integrity of the 2024 election and beyond.
Mehaffie's recent actions further highlight his failed record and troubling history. Teaming up with RINO Hummelstown Mayor David Roeting, they hosted Governor Shapiro to promote the Governor's Pennsylvania Last agenda, openly betraying his district's values. He even boasted about it to his meager social media following.
Yet, when a tragic event occurred—an attempted assassination on President Donald J. Trump, which led to the heroic death of Corey Comperatore—Mehaffie was conspicuously silent, showing a glaring lack of leadership and empathy.
This lack of leadership is nothing new for Mehaffie. His failure to step up and unify his district after the failed assassination attempt on President Trump set a dangerous precedent. It even emboldened a deranged woman in his district to call for another attempt on the 45th President's life. Tragically, I witnessed this firsthand.
In Harrisburg, Mehaffie has been bolstered by a corrupt Democrat machine and powerful unions. I've seen personally, how he and his allies, like Mayor David Roeting, have tirelessly blocked genuine public service efforts on both sides of the aisle in the 106th legislative district, which is clearly owned by far-left special interests.
Unlike true servant leaders like Butler County Mayor John David Longo—a marine who courageously protected his family from an assassin's bullet aimed at Trump—Rep. Tom Mehaffie and David Roeting are more concerned with appeasing the Democrat establishment. They're willing to sacrifice their constituents' values and livelihoods to maintain power, with the hope of riding Governor Shapiro’s coattails to Washington.
But Pennsylvanians are waking up to the harsh realities of the Democrats' America/Pennsylvania Last agenda. Thankfully, leaders like Scott Presler, his army of dedicated Early Vote Action volunteers, and groups like Turning Point Action and PA Chase are mobilizing voters, seizing this crucial moment to engage those who may not have voted before but now want to reclaim their future by supporting Donald J. Trump and his America First policies. I've had the honor of working alongside these patriots over the past several months.
Harris and the Democrats are visibly rattled by these developments. They not only highlight the tireless efforts of grassroots volunteers but also underscore Trump's unique ability to reignite the American spirit. To secure Pennsylvania in the 2024 election, they think they need Shapiro and his shady RINO Republican allies like Mehaffie, who disguise themselves as “Moderates” while pushing radical leftist policies. Time and again, they've shown a willingness to transform Pennsylvania into another California-style failure.
In the final analysis, I, along with countless others, express deep concern and outrage over Mehaffie's political conduct. We will continue to "fight, fight, fight" against this corrupt, career politician—Josh Shapiro's favored Republican—and likely soon Harris’— by registering voters and exposing his failed record.
Our mission in Dauphin County is clear: to save our nation’s future by re-electing America First Champions like President Donald J. Trump and Congressman Scott Perry while expanding our base. We embrace every age, race, color, creed, and sexual orientation, united by our shared American values.
We are the people, and we are coming. To the ballot box. Legally and lawfully.
